Edinburgh International Book Festival
Discussion of the main ideas of COSMOSAPIENS by John Hands at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, chaired by James Runcie, 7:15pm – 8:15pm. For more details see here.
Despite big names like Alexander McCall Smith, Val McDermid, Mark Lawson, and Howard Jacobson appearing in different events at the same time, the event was a near sellout in the 325-seater venue. Although COSMOSAPIENS was by a huge margin by far the longest and most expensive book in the EIBF bookshop, the book-signing area ran out of copies within minutes. The manager urgently asked the main EIBF bookshop to send over all their copies, but even these weren’t enough.
