Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine fills me with horror and sadness. On two occasions, before and after the end of the Soviet Union, I spent time staying in most regions of Ukraine to research Perestroika Christi and Darkness at Dawn (the latter about a Russian attempt to take back control of the independent Ukraine). Ukrainians are a lovely people who provided so much help in my research. Putin should be indicted for war crimes.
